Beacon Rock is so ideally situated, that one can virtually park your car at the beginning of your holiday and have no need to use it again for your entire stay. Beacon Rock is a five-minute drive from Gateway, a minute's drive from Durban and the International Conference Centre (ICC). There are several fine restaurants in the Umhlanga Village or at Gateway Shopping Centre. A private first-world hospital is a five-minute drive away by car. There are several world-class golf courses in the immediate vicinity. Ushaka Marine World is a 20-minute drive from Beacon Rock.
